3 Tips to Slaying your Branding or Casual Headshots

 

Headshots are images that focus on you as an individual.  They are used for social media, business and dating profiles, websites, brochures and so much more.  First and foremost, if you are considering getting professional headshots taken, kudos to you!  The selfie stick is cool but if you want to level up, scheduling a professional photoshoot is the way to go.  

 

So you found your photographer, what’s next?  Here are three tips to slaying your branding or casual headshot session.

 

1) Carefully select your outfit

 

Take some time and put a little thought into what your going to wear.  Choose something that compliments you and your personality.  If you are updating your website, are the colors you decide to wear compliment it or your brand?  Take into consideration how you want your audience to feel when they see your pictures.

 

2) Look for inspirations

 

If you are struggling with ideas of a vision for your session check out Instagram or Pinterest!  Looking for images that inspires you can spark ideas of personalizing your session.

 

3) Relax and have fun

 

If you are nervous it will show in your photos.  Play your favorite song and loosen up… but don’t get too loose lol.

 

Whether you are updating your profile picture, starting a new business, speaking on a panel, or updating your website, be prepared but have fun!
